I just can't get over us,
What we were, once upon a silver
Dream. I was the princess; disney,
All golden dresses and raven curls...
You were my Prince; charming, you'd
Always hold open the door and slay
The evil one who threatened me.
But I fell asleep for years and years
Washed along by the colours of the
Wind, the lies you told grew longer
And longer day after day... I was
Swept away by the long hair and
Beastly nature...but I was so young.
Believe me, you were a classic; one
That will replace those fuzzy black
And white movies of yesterday. The
Tux never suited you though,
Perfection always that one step away,
And me?
I grew out of playing dress-up; guitars
And headbands replaced ball gowns and
Classic FM, starbucks stains all over the
Too small costumes, locks of ebony now
Streaked with pink, punk, pieces of me.
I'll never forget the days of richness;
The times we wrote our story streached
Out on the kitchen floor, my imagination
And your neat writing created Magic. But
Magic never lasts, the film's over...
The End.
