The Life I Had Before by ~thisgirl32:iconthisgirl32:

I lied to you; lover. I fed you deceit on sliver spoons,
Watching it poison your body like arsenic. Dissolved
Prescriptions into translucent glasses, Russian roulette
As to who gets that little death tonight.

I acted for you; voyeur. Paraded myself as the one you
Would, but can't. Thought that was what you wanted. That
Character was spontaneous, unrehearsed, out of character
Some might say. Believable?

I cheated for you; bastard. Tried to please your every whim, want,
Fantasy. No concept of space or time can contain these feelings. I
opened doors for you – plus the window to my soul – So, sorry, but
I'm busy.

Busy mending broken pieces of the life I had before.

Thanks, it's ok, this is a very exagerrated poem; what I felt was a one hundreth of the persona in this poem... and it was partially written to enrage, too. Showing, not telling, eh?
